Unusual Damage To Victor Winding Gear

I found this on a Vic V today. Notice that the slots no longer line up. Of course, the pin was broken, but I have never seen this type of damage before. i can only imagine the force required to shift this in such a way. i have no idea how to move it back and i am not sure i would trust it anymore. I'll be looking for a replacement.

If you don't use it, at least don't throw it away.

:o Wow, that is strange damage, I have seen or at least heard about quite a lot of damage, but never this.
If I were a troll, I would not post on the Talking Machine Forum; I would live under a bridge, post on Reddit, and eat goats for dinner!
