Edison GEM

Post by braeuber »

I have an Edison GEM from 1888. S/N G114392. It is outwardly in good condition, but would need to be opened to upgrade to proper functioning. I also have 5 cylinders.
(1) I live near San Francisco. Where could I take it for "repair"?
(2) If I don't put it into full working condition, how much could I sell it for?

Many thanks for advice.

That's a very nice example. Definitely not from 1888 however. Maybe 1903 - 1905 era. Others, with more knowledge, can fine tune the date for you.
