I don't know what the exact date is in 1922 but I feel sure that the time was 2.30 ............ Maybe the Gramophone' was there to counteract the patients cries during operations, so not to frighten the rest of clients waiting at the other side of the door...

Just think if they played a popular tune while you were getting teeth pulled. Every time you heard the song after would bring back the memory
