I was contacted by Donovan to see if I had a part for his Brunswick motor. I sent him pictures of what I had and it wasn't the right part. I then offered to give him a nice oak Brunswick if he would come pick it up. He lives about three hours away and came today. He is very excited to have his first working phonograph. He also has some great records for it at home. I am sure he will be enjoying his new toy with his fiancee.

A Brunswick is a fine machine. I remember reading that as Edison's market share dwindled and Brunswick's increased, the "big three" was considered Victor, Columbia, and Brunswick.

Another good deed, well done! I have some machines I'd be happy to give away in similar circumstances here - I'd love to find a way to reach out (I don't and won't do any conventional social tedia, so it may not be easy).

Hey hey! I'ts been a bit but I'd like to say thanks for the generosity and the warm welcome. I recently have been working on cleaning up the machine now that I have some free time, and it's shaping up even nicer than before. I'll be sure to post some pictures after the oil dries and the wood is polished.

Congratulations. Brunswick phonographs are well built and will play the three types of records available at the time -- standard "78s," Edison Diamond Discs, and Pathé vertical cut records.
