Regular diameter spaghetti made with hard semolina wheat flour works best.
Whole wheat pasta breaks down too soon.
Angel hair pasta would make a softer tone.
Soft dynamics and unworn record grooves work best.

I would never use a plastic needle. That sounds awful.
If I were a troll, I would not post on the Talking Machine Forum; I would live under a bridge, post on Reddit, and eat goats for dinner!
