Very small 78 rpm record supporting Short wave transmission SOLD

Post by kendphono »

This is a 4 ⅛" record that was likely made in Germany before WW-II. It is made like a normal record and is 78 rpm. I do not see any damage to the record. The label shows directional short wave transmitter aerials on one side with the writing in English and has a message in English. On the other side, there is a message written in German that says "House of Broadcasting" in German, and the narrator speaks in German. Both sides have a brief session of a choral group of sweet German girls. I believe I heard Siemens mentioned. This is the smallest record that I have seen. I imagine that the transmitter aerials were no longer standing after the war. Anyway, it is an interesting bit of history. Shipping is $5 in the US.

I am selling it for $35. If you have any questions, please contact me at kend@lemur.org

SOLD
