WANTED: Slotted Crank

Post by cweastlick »

Looking for a slotted crank for an off-brand tabletop model (Knabe-Crystola) made in Cincinnati. The winding shaft is ⅜" in diameter. The distance from the shaft to the first bend needs to be about 5". The distance between the two bends needs to be 4 ½". Thanks!

Hey, fellow Crystola owner and enthusiast here.... If you can't get find any cranks based solely on your measurements, I found that a typical Aeolian style slotted crank will work on the early Knabe/Crystolas. You can probably do an ebay search for "slotted crank" or ask some fellow collectors if they have any Aeolian style cranks laying around you could try.

On another note, shoot me a PM or post a picture of your tabletop Crystola. I currently own two floor models but would love to see a picture of the somewhat elusive tabletop model.

Thanks, - Chris

I'm still searching for a crank! This is one of the biggest, heaviest tabletops I've ever had. And, an odd reproducer.
