Oh, so that's where it went! I'm glad you got it, Carlos. It is a fantastic condition machine and as I thought, it is of course badged as a "Deccalian".

PS - Is this the one from Roger Thorne's sale? Unless I'm reading things incorrectly, your machine is missing the needle bowl; I don't recall the RT example missing one? It was 13 years ago, mind you!

Second PS - I think you're referring to the model rather than the specific example pictured! The machine is attractive and it reminds me a little of the Pathé Elf which I also like and have an example of in my collection.
Hi Steve, it is the same model, but not the Roger Thorne one, I bought this one in 2015, and it is in great shape as well. I took off the needle bowl as it had some used needles in it, and forgot to put it back for the photos: good catch, it is still in my pocket! Indeed it reminds the Elf, with similar dimensions and the pagoda-looking lid.
Thank you for the clarification, Carlos. Did you find it on the continent or was it from the UK?

This one I bought from a UK seller. Decca portables are not hard to find either in France or Germany, but I never saw table tops and cabinets for sale outside the UK.

The Casket model sold for £731.10, proving that the £680 + Fees which I paid for my Wine Cooler model was no fluke.

I did not even bid for it. Did you? Four bidders were fighting over it as the auction ended.
It will be interesting to see whether these prices bring more Deccalians onto the market.

Yes, I was the high bidder for just over a week but other matters got in the way over the weekend so I didn't revisit it. I was quite surprised it made over £700 to be honest with the previous example being just £240 and seemingly little interest or demand from other collectors for Decca related items. I do also wonder if other examples will now make an appearance. We can but hope!
