Edison Amberola 60

Post by Mvogel6161 »

Picked one up at a local auction in Southern Indiana.

SN 10094. Machine has always been in deceased individuals family.

It has a Diamond C rather that a Diamond D. Were these always sold with the D or was it likely swapped out at some point?

I can't find much info other than in the Frow book.

Thanks.

The guy you need to talk to about the Amberola 60 is Steve Medved he's been collecting information for years. I had one a few years ago and got a lot of info from Steve.
Are you sure about the serial number? I think you added an extra zero, all the ones he had found had serial numbers between 1004 and 1109.

I finally sold mine as it was just too big to find a place for it.

Congrats on your purchase! I saw that auction and wondered if it would go to a forum member. Did you also pick up the cylinders with it? I wondered if many were late 5000 series.

Typo. It's SN 1094.

Unfortunately only one cylinder was a 5000 series.

Do you have contact info for Steve?
