Wanted: Castle House Rag (Edison or Victor Recording)

Post by oldphonographsteve »

Good Evening,

I am looking for a copy of Castle House Rag played by the National Promenade Band on Edison Blue Amberol (#2407)
or the Victor recording of Castle House Rag by Europe's Society Orchestra (Victor 35372). Early pressings of the Victor recording can have "Castle's in Europe One-Step" on the label instead of "Castle House Rag."

Best wishes,
Stephen

Hi Stephen,

If you just want to audition these records rather than owning them, “Castle House Rag” recordings by Victor, Blue Amberol and Pathé can be heard on i78s.org.

Sign up for your free user account to access to these and over 40,000 recordings in a private collection.

Go to www.i78s.org

Thank you for the recommendation. I am familiar with i78s.org and find it very useful for finding uncommon recordings to listen to. I am interested in owning a copy for my collection.

Stephen
