New Pickup: Fireside with Cygnet horn
This is my first like…actually nice cylinder player that has a large horn. Very impressed by its size and visual appeal. I never knew cylinders could sound so good. Picked it up from Ron Haring today.

Nice Fireside with cygnet horn. That must of been at the Sandwich Antique Fair?PeanutTheRabbit wrote: Mon Jul 15, 2024 12:00 am This is my first like…actually nice cylinder player that has a large horn. Ron Haring is one of nicest persons in the phonograph dealer network. I’ve known him since the 1980’s.
I need to see Ron as I’ve got a similar Fireside with the cygnet horn. Need help now with matching the elbow with the bell.
Anyhow any of the later Home models could purchased new with the cygnet horns attachment. Series D and later. Also as you know Edison offered these horns for older models. I have a model B home that was modified this way.

Wow, that is a really nice machine. It looks great with that horn! Hopefully I can get my Fireside looking that good.

Very nice Fireside, I still yet to own any Fireside model Edison because i'm too busy pulling a Martinola and buying every version of the Edison standard out there! Still need a model C and F and maybe a 4 clip standard A then i'll have every version!

Edison used the naming convention ‘Model’ to indicate the iteration, not “Series”, so would be Model D and up.Damfino59 wrote: Mon Jul 15, 2024 12:28 amNice Fireside with cygnet horn.
