After further consideration, I've decided against parting with Herbert, so he is no longer on the market.

Of course, it's all in the eye of the beholder, but the term ‘beauty’ wouldn't really come to mind with this gramophone.

Well, I recognise that my affirmation of beauty is subjective, for I know how well it sounds, although for pure aesthetics, the nicest machines to me are the wooden horn Victors, then the ones with the black morning glory horn, and after that the 8-35. The huge HMV reentrants are also nice to me.
