WANTED: Vic IV lid support and front lid button

Post by jboger »

I recently got an incomplete Vic IV (no, not a VV-IV). The case is in nice shape but missing two things: (1) the lid support so that the lid stays up when you open it. and (2) the front button. The front button is they type that never had that diamond-shaped escutcheon.

I'm pretty sure Monarch, Monarch Special and Vic III parts will do the trick. I've seen Vic IIIs with and without the escutcheon, but the lid support should be the same. Not sure about other models.

Would be glad to get either part.

Also looking for the front lid latch. Please see picture. I took this one off a Victor Monarch; it will fit my Victor IV. I'm sure others will as well. Here are dimensions:

Length: 2-15/16 inches
Distance between two screws, center to center: 9/16 inches
Length of button: ¾ inches

Not really expecting to find one, but I'll give it a shot.

Hi John, I have the motor board support and catch release available if you still need them. The nickel finish on the release is worn but would clean up some if you choose to. $25 for both which includes shipping in the US.

Larry:

I sent you a PM last night, but not sure it went through. So I just sent another. I don't know why, but I find the PM format not easy to use. There is a side menu bar that has

Inbox
Outbox
Sent

What' s the difference between Sent and Outbox? I see my email to you under Outbox but not Sent.

If anyone else wants to clarify this for me, I'd be overjoyed. I'm sure it's something simple and just me mixed up.
