Does anyone have or seen this model Victor "P" machine?

I've owned 2 in the past 50 years of collecting. The first one serial# 434 I bought at Union probably about 40 years ago. I sold it during one of my purges.
This one I picked up at a local auction about 25 years ago. The only other one I've seen is in George & Tim's book "Discovering Antique Phonographs" on pg 107.
It's described as a PNo3 #766, not sure it's correct or a typo as there isn't a clear picture of the ID tag.
I asked Bob Baumbach if there was any info on the "P" models and he said he has never seen any documentation on those models.

It appears to have been made up from leftover parts, the case is cheap wood like gum or poplar painted to look like mahogany, a concert reproducer, tin sheet metal top plate
and support arm in oxidized finish. The motor appears to be very similar to a HMV #6, screwed to the bottom of the box.

I've never seen one come up for auction at Stanton's or Donley's or any for sale ads.

So back to my original question, anybody have one?

In fifty years collecting I've only seen one. It was delivered to its new owner at the first APS Midwest Expo a couple of years ago. It's a very interesting machine.

I think that is the only one I have seen as well. Pretty Neat!!!!!! I would love to have one someday.

I sold a Victor P2 a few years ago that had the more traditional case with the motor mounted to the baseboard.

The PNo.2 nameplate looks especially odd to me, with little to no shading details on the phonograph and dog images. Also, the relief of the PNo.2 plate seems to be much deeper.

I took the machine down off the shelf where it has been for the past 10 or so years and cleaned ¼" of dust and took picture of the crude motor.

It's similar to the motor shown in the P2 post, much simpler the crank turns as it unwinds.

Looks like an HMV Style No.3 motor to me.
