Opinion Wanted - Victor I

Post by PeanutTheRabbit »

So I have a Victor E which at some point in its life was converted to a rear mount machine, but is essentially a cabinet and motor only, and I’m going to use the upper components from my Vic 1 to complete this E, since the E is much much nicer to use and looks better than my 1. So my main idea is like, why not just sell the 1 (as an incomplete machine with a motor and crank) instead of trying to buy the components to complete it. At this point I’d be looking at spending like $500 in parts to fix a machine that in my mind is at most worth like $600. Should I sell it or keep it?

You're on the right track in thinking you should sell the incomplete Victor I. There's no sense in making a frankenphone when complete Victor Is are available for reasonable cost. Let the E stay an E and the I a I.

Yeah that’s what I was thinking. It’s too much money relative to the value of a I to spend time finding a back bracket, horn, taper arm etc to complete it. The
