I'd class it as a frankenphone, but either way it's just another bit of junk that we've seen a thousand times before, and I'll never know why collector of genuine machines love constantly flooding this board by posting thread after thread after thread on these things.

For the record, I have seen an authentic Edison Bell machine with a horn.... it played discs.

I believe it was this machine and the Bix record recently discussed in the "Music" section of this board that were found together in a lake in the Yukon. ;)

Looks totally original... It's a shame someone replace the felt on the turntable. It would be worth alot more with the original felt... :P

What!?! Please post as many as you want. If there are members who don't like it, they don't have to participate in them. I find plenty of threads on this site are about as dull as dishwater, but I wouldn't say they shouldn't be here just because it's something I'm not personally interested in.

I'd like to know more about this thing. The cabinet looks like metal, the soundbox looks interesting, etc. The individual parts are still interesting, even after being mixed.

This is supposed to be a phonograph board, not a crapophone board, and there's so many of these crapophone posts that some members are even losing track of them & double posting the same machines.
Wouldn't it make more sense to post this junk in the worlds worst crapophone thread or whatever it was called.
I dont want to waste my time clicking on the thread called Here's an unusual Edison, only to find it's about a piece of junk gramophone with an Edison decal on it.

Jeez, for a person who doesn't want to waste time clicking on this thread you spend a lot of time on it. If you aren't interested in a thread, you're not required to visit it. I enjoy taking some time to laugh at some of the worthless things offered for sale out there, and I hope my opinion counts as much as anyone's.

There's been plenty of times I've visited a thread and thought "BORING", so I didn't comment, and I didn't go back. I also didn't try to dictate what people should and shouldn't start threads on.

And how do you know not to visit it when the thread is called heres an unusual Edison?
This board is becoming akin to sitting in a hairdressing salon with a bunch of old ladies with dementure, listening to them repeat themselves over & over..
