are these gold moldeds playable?

Post by phonograph guy3435 »

I just got back from Maine and in one of the antique shops, they had some gold molded cylinders with a bunch of empty gold molded cases. i bought 2 of them for 2 and 5 bucks, pretty cheap for being found in the wild :D. anyway, I wanted to ask if this is mold or something else and if these are playable. it was hard to get on the camera but they both have matte lighter spots compared to the shinier other areas of the cylinder. i believe one of them is an old home recording cus there is a handwritten title on the top, wich is different to the cylinder title. thanks :)

Gently clean them with dry cotton cloth and play them. :coffee:
