Broken Records being sold on eBay

Post by Edisonfan »

I have come across a number of eBay sellers, trying to sell broken records on eBay. From 78’s with a chunk taken out for $129.00. A Clarence Willams QRS record. Or a broken cylinder record? I have no idea, why someone would do this?

With a note of sarcasm present, that broken record is likely the only one broken EXACTLY like that. Which makes it one of a kind. And rare. Again, with a large dose of sarcasm. Laughing, exit stage left.

Didn’t the Victor Talking Machine Company sell a jigsaw puzzle, at one time?

I guess I shouldn't feel as bad when I accidently break a record now. I made it more rare and then I can list it for more money on ebay

Even stranger, why would anyone buy them? My only suggestion would be to acquire a rare cylinder box.

Maybe you can grind them up, add alcohol and make black shellac...
