brown wax cylinder question.

Post by phonograph guy3435 »

i got this cylinder recently at a flea market and i was wondering how playable it is, regarding the possible mold. I'm not sure what it is but there is writing that looks hand carved on the rim and ej/ 3j carved onto the upper side. i couldn't get any very detailed pictures of it on my computer so I'm gonna upload a video of it soon on my youtube channel, wasabi9111. i promise i didn't chose the name

It looks quite bad to me, but could probably be shaved into a blank.

Only way to tell is to play it, and find out how it sounds.
