Every time I see these I think to myself, " What a crazy invention". It seriously looks like it was drawn by a cartoonist

Sold for a hammer price of £3,000 which, for the buyer, translates to about £4,000 depending upon the method of bidding.

I had to look up the USD exchange rate. $5,361.54

Yes, it went for a cheap price considering what good EMG's go for, but if you look closely at every auction picture, the cabinet has some issues and the electric motor will deter a lot of "hard-core" gramophone collectors.

This is very astute indeed ! (Really).Steve wrote: Sat Sep 28, 2024 1:27 pmYes, it went for a cheap price considering what good EMG's go for, but if you look closely at every auction picture, the cabinet has some issues and the electric motor will deter a lot of "hard-core" gramophone collectors.
There were 3 or 4 reasons why I didn't bid for this and one of them was the fact that it has an electric motor.
So, I am a "hard core" gramophone collector ..... Yeah man !!!
