Horn gramophone identification

Post by zapper »

Hi all.
Came across this crapophone today and wondered if anyone can identify the parts. A previous owner has matched a horn to an internal horn 'HMV'?

Hi ! Will you please share the pictures of this gramophone's cabinet, motor board and the motor inside it?

Regards

Not a crapophone but a frankenphone. Yes it’s an HMV internal horn, or hornless, gramophone converted to a horn machine. The horn is HMV and therefore a useful part. The tonearm, soundbox, elbow and the back bracket aswell, are not HMV.

Thanks for your replies. The gramophone sold at auction for £95 + fees. I guess someone wanted the horn to complete a genuine HMV.

Not a bad price. Thanks for letting us know. The back bracket with tonearm and elbow are also very useful to complete a continental machine.
