Does anyone know Mirna Acosta?

Post by emerson »

A good while back I placed a Wanted Ad for Little Tots sets # 11, 12, & 13. and received a reply from a Forum member anonymous (who is not registered anymore) with a name--- Mirna Acosta from Benbrook, Texas. that has all 3. I emailed Mirna and sent a money-order on Sept. 11 before I attended a 911 memorial for someone I knew that perished in one of the Trade Towers. The money-order went to Karen Musson and as of now I was told it was never received---to pay again. Does anyone know or have dealt with this person or have I been scammed? Thanks, ---Herb

This appears to be a continuation of a scam that pops up on this Forum fron time to time. A want ad gets placed. Someone responds and says "their friend" has everything you need. Instructions are given on price, and how and who to send the money to. Unfortunately it's a total scam.

Complete scam. I was told to email this so-called Acosta person for a record I've been searching for. I reported this about a month ago to the moderator, and the perp was banned from the forum.

Shame this crap has to occur. Be wise and vigilant. If it sounds too good to be true, etc. . . .
