Puck Phonograph

Hello
I was scrolling through auctions and came across a puck phonograph!I was wondering --if I go, what to bid to on the unit. From what I see it looks in good shape. Please look at the attachment--picture

I'm not sure what the going rate for this model is, but just be careful because this model was reproduced in the late 1970s.
The originals were made in Germany & there were several variations made, which were sold or given away under various names like Lyraphone and 20th century.
The first thing I would do is check the net for pictures of confirmed original examples to compare this machine with, and I would check the base for any iron foundry makers marks. Generally speaking, originals will have better defined decoration in the casting, & cleaner edges etc, than the repros- in much the same way as modern crapophone back brackets compare to the original Thorens BB.
They were also sold with a variety of horn styles. The horn on this one looks a little sus to me, but I'm often wrong.

I didn't know there were reproduction Pucks made in the 1970's. The horn looks like something cobbled together. If you decide to bid on it, I wouldn't go to high.

Thanks for your help. Would you have a number? This is in a huge antique farm estate auction so I thought it was original.I was also supprised about the reprodction pucks!
