SOLD : Phonograph Faries Lamp #3147 Adjustable Tilting Helmet Dome Shade - $175.00

Post by Shawn »

Folks,

Here is another lamp that I have had in my phonograph room for quite a while. It is a Faires model #3174 brass adjustable tilting lamp. This is one of the nicest, all all-original examples I have ever seen. All brass construction with the exception of a cast iron weight at the underside. All original sockets, screws, wing nuts, etc. are present and functional. Large spherical joint with wing nut below the socket that has a Faries patent date of December 2, 1913. Designed to be used on a desk, or hung on the wall.

Looks fantastic on a wall beside a phonograph. I seen lesser examples of this exact lamp sell for $350.00. This one is priced to sell at $175! SOLD

New wiring with a period correct plug end has been installed, making this fully functional lamp ready to use.

Contact me at [email protected] with interest.

The same lamp shade was used for Moe's haircut on the Three Stooges.
