STANTONS: The Most Desirable Victor Electrolas

Post by Victrola-Monkey »

Just wanted to make sure you didn't miss out on 7 of the most desirable Victor Electrolas available at Stanton's Fall Phonograph Auction this November 21st either. Remember, if you can't be there in person, you can bid online at liveauctioneers.com and Stantons can ship the bigger machines to you these days. All these machines come with their own carts with 4" swivel wheels, if you want them. It certainly can make for an easy pick up process and moving them around the house. Good luck...

My first posting on this topic included links to LiveAuctioneers.com that showed just 3 photos per phonograph to be auctioned at Stanton's upcoming Phonograph Auction. So you have the opportunity to see more photos for each of the phonographs, I have provided the following links.

Hey Wayne

Does the 9-54 work? Changer work? What else can you tell me about it?

I never got around to working on it other than putting the nicest amplifier I had (out of 7) in it. The amp's power transformer looks to be in good shape. As the description says, it needs new wiring. All the components are there and the changer itself is clean and complete. I would expect that to work find since the 1928 changers did not have any pot metal parts and are very reliable. The cabinet has the nicest wood all round of the seven VE9-54s I had, including the top and the back-panels. I was saving this final one for myself until I decided to sell all my Victor Talking Machine Company phonographs (except for my Gothic Victrola).

Thanks Wayne! One thing I did not see was the speaker grill and cloth. Is that intact?
