Expert soundbox / tonearm just sold on French Ebay

No, I didn't get it at 695 Euros but was the underbidder. Understandably some of us are on the look-out currently for a specific soundbox appearing on Ebay but was this it? Just an unlikely and unfortunate coincidence, perhaps, but the inclusion of the tone-arm was baffling. Certainly if you needed a tonearm it was a bargain! Were it not for another 20% VAT and handling fees on top I think it might have been worth pursuing further.

PS. For the record, I'm not suggesting any kind of impropriety on the part of the French Ebay seller.

EMG and Expert soundboxes appear on eBay from time to time, but this is the first time I have seen a tonearm for sale.

Well spotted Steve---didn't come up on my eBay watch ! What a shame to have removed half the tonearm assembly but what is left certainly looks to be in good order. I could make the missing parts if asked. I don't think the soundbox has anything to do with the one we are keeping an eye open for but I suppose you never know. I do have a complete Expert tonearm from an All Range if anyone is looking for such. It is half an inch longer than the regular items.
