What I don't understand, is the fact there's somehow more than one person who's willing to pay $60+ for that.Curt A wrote: Tue Dec 17, 2024 7:21 pm https://www.ebay.com/itm/305977519306?_ ... 1506.m1851

That's an extremely difficult to find piece, used only on the BY. If I needed one, I'd be thrilled to pay $60 for it.LimeTree99 wrote: Wed Dec 18, 2024 9:21 amWhat I don't understand, is the fact there's somehow more than one person who's willing to pay $60+ for that.Curt A wrote: Tue Dec 17, 2024 7:21 pm https://www.ebay.com/itm/305977519306?_ ... 1506.m1851

Re: Columbia BY back bracket & tonearm
I understand its rarity/desirability and the issue of price, BUT the extreme rust/pitting issues look almost impossible to achieve a desirable outcome. Maybe I'm wrong, but after dealing with many rust damaged pieces it will take a lot of effort to accomplish - maybe not impossible...

Strip, replate, polish the nickel-plated parts.
