Every so often I run on to these and they always amuse me: discs where the original owner clipped a pic of the artist out of the catalogue and added it to the label. This individual was a true discophile in 1924. These acoustic Gigli's are my favourites: before he got quite so mannered as he did in the 30's.

Nearly 10,000 discs in my collection, and goodness only knows how many more I've gone through in the last 30+ years, and I've never come across this before.

Must have been because I've got several of them. I suppose it passed those long winter evenings by the fireside with the wind howling round the eaves.
All kidding aside I think that is one of the reason that the phonograph...and early radio ...was so popular up here: nobody wanted to go out in the cold.
