Post by Victor guy1 »

There is no info on it in the web, so I came here. It says "new York, London, saratow" on the front. it came off of my HMV baby monarch

My guess is that it is one of many Victor/HMV Exhibition "knock off" reproducers that were sold back then. You'll also see ones marked "Exportation", for example.

Interesting to see a clone that is made in the USA. Examples I have seen are European or mainly Swiss/German made. This is very similar to a Victor Exhibition but has a pot metal bezel.

Would this not have infringed Victor patents in the USA? But I guess so did Peerless talking machines with their groove guided tonearms.

I have trouble believing that neither company made this,
It is the exact same as a regular exhibition with a little bit of a difference?
