Since it is a Buy It Now or Best Offer, this will let him off the hook I suppose.

Clearly it's not the same seller. Each listing has a different song that plays.

It surely is the same seller, but to my knowledge eBay does not prohibit the simultaneous use of two accounts.

What's the point of listing the same item simultaneously?

They're both listed in the same category... so he's not saving on fee's in that aspect. (more $$ to list in more than one category)

I guess he thinks he'll get better luck listing one as a Victor II and the other as a Victor Monarch... it would be easy enough to put both names in the auction heading.

I don't see much benefit to this... am I missing something?

That's what I thought, at first glance, but they're actually different machines.

The top one is Type M -- Ser. # 31509
The second one is Type II -- Ser. # 24000

Ahh two different items...

with the "new ebay rules"... each account gets 50 free auctions with no insertion fees, no limit on starting price and free buy it now... so two accounts turns 50 auctions into 100... that's the only benefit I can see.

Well, since he has the gall to call himself "esniper", I want nothing to do with him for that reason. Where does he come up with a phono losing 50% of the value for having been refinished? That seems like a pretty broad statement. Wouldn't it depend on the type of machine, and how good or bad the finish was before the restoration? I'd rather have a well refinished machine, than one that has its original finish in unpresentable condition.

I did not mean to infer that the listings were the same, the seller has other items also listed. I just found it interesting that he used two different user names.

Always skeptical.
