SOLD: Edison Triumph E - $1,700.00

Post by Amarkle6524 »

Edison Triumph Model E with a model K combination reproducer. The serial number is 88014 which dates to 1911. The original oak case presents exceptionally well and has never been re-finished. Even the inner workings of this machine appear to have never been messed with as it still retains the original pot metal bearing at the end of the mandrel. Strong Triton 3-spring motor. Overall, this phonograph is in great all-original working condition, includes the crane for the horn, and won't take much to put it over the top.

If you have questions, or would like more pics or info, please don't hesitate to ask. Located in south east/central Pennsylvania near York. Local pick up is preferred, but shipping can be arranged using USPS and additional actual cost to ship to your location. Please note this is very heavy (over 50 lbs) and would need to ship in multiple boxes. I would be willing to deliver up to an hour from here. Thanks for looking!

By The Way- about that original pot metal bearing-

When I did all of the work on Belfers machines, I encountered a Triumph that had the pot metal bearing installed in it. The problem with it was that it that the shaft had worn the I.D of the bearing into an oblong shape..
That caused the mandrel to sag and the tracking path to change. I replaced it and that restored the tracking path.

Feel free to ignore or downplay my work. I felt it was necessary.

Thanks for the info @pallophotophone - this might just be a portion of the time and attention this machine requires (if the new owner desires to do so), but I can tell you it currently runs and plays fine.
