Early and Late Victor E

Post by oldtvsandtoys »

Ok guys let see what you can tell me. I just bought my 2nd Victor E. The early one has a 9 ½ bell and a 1 ⅛ elbow the latter one has a 18 ½ bell and a 1 ½ elbow. The early one has holes for a front mount and rear mount. Did Victor change the back bracket on later models or only if the had the bigger horns?

I have seen rear mount Vic E's with the Vic I size tone arm & elbow and the Vic II size tone arm & elbow. l believe both are correct. I hadn't given it much thought but I suspect the Vic II size would be later. The E evolved into the Vic II. Jerry Blais

Yes Jerry you are right. I just checked the horn on my Vic 2 and it fits. I know the back bracket and horn are original to the machine. I the guy I got it from told me its been in his family from day one.
