Edison Fireside need help?
I just bought a nice Edison Fireside for $199.00, from a local antique mall. It is missing the crank, reproducer and a horn, plus a knob for either speed control or to switch between 2 & 4 minutes. It looks like something is missing from the motor?

You're missing the entire governor assembly, as well as the speed control screw under the bedplate.

I am considering buying a model K reproducer for the Fireside as it would be an ideal fit for the carriage arm?

I believe the Fireside A came with the K as original equipment.

Re: Edison Fireside need help?
Okay, so I got a new replacement Governor, speed control screw and, locking screw for a reproducer. Also got a new gear cover as well. I will need to find a new spring , for the speed control arm. As the current one has stretched out. Found and bought a Model K reproducer.
I found out, that I need to buy paint remover or stripper, as someone paint over the oak. Also, may need a decal.
