My New Edison Triumph

Post by BigC »

While I was out exploring my favorite antique store in Yuma Arizona I came across a great package deal. There was a really nice Edison Triumph with a Phono Mega Horn that's in really good shape except for the paint spill on the horn. To my surprise it also came with the cabinet full of cylinders. The owner explained that the phonograph came with everything except the crane. He explained that the 2/4 minute gears were stuck and there was a problem with the governor. When you put the reproducer down it slows down and stops. When I asked him how much he said to give him $450 cash for everything. I couldn't pull my wallet out fast enough. When I get more time I'll start looking into the governor issue but for now I'm just happy with my purchase.

ThIs antique store gets some cool phonographs every once in a while. The cabinet was full of cylinders. Going to watch some videos on how to service it and hopefully it will start playing properly soon.
