In particular, I am looking for the 2.5" x ¼" governor spring commonly used on
Victor E or M motors. Does anyone know a good source for springs? Few parts
dealers these days.
Thanks

Re: WANTED: Source for governor springs
I’ve had good luck with Walt Sommers at GettysburgAntiques via eBay. He has provided excellent springs, including hand made ones for Thorens Excelda phonograph. He does excellent work.
Good luck!

I was trying to get these for another collector. He mentioned he
had no luck with someone named Walt. Now I know who he was
talking about. Thanks

Re: WANTED: Source for governor springs
Walt still has them for sale on his eBay shop. https://www.ebay.com/str/gettysburganti ... 7758122010 I have bought and used them a few times with great results.

Travis,
I agree, I have found him relatively easy to deal with for most any kind for Governor Springs. Quick and and Accurate.
