Shaving (Part 2)

Post by paradroid1793 »

Hi Forum. Im trying to get this shaver going, however I’m unsure how to mount it? I stuck it freely in the holder where the reproduce goes, which does start shaving, however the machine can’t take it and slows down. What do I do to get this going?

That machine does not have a place for a shaver. It was never meant to be equipped with one.

Here is that shaver, mounted properly on the machine that you bought it off of.

A dedicated shaver can be found in the shape of a Dictaphone shaving machine, the electric motor gives you a chance to actually manage to shave a cylinder that resembles a mirror finish. Even these electric machines get clogged & rusted over decades of standing idle, they are a few days work to disassemble / clean to get them to work , but as few collectors are dedicated enough to get results via the purchase of another large piece of clutter many of these machines that pop up for sale get few enquiries. They weigh a ton for their size but it's an interesting machine, just remember to make sure that the sapphire cutting knife is present & undamaged. I bought an Edison Columbia "Cameo" model recently which was the filthiest thing Iv'e ever stripped down , possibly made for an office where the dress code was leather bondage gear. ! Word up !
