I wasn't aware of an existing California Antique Phonograph Society. My understanding was that the California Antique Phonograph Society and the Michigan Antique Phonograph Society merged in 2013 to form the Antique Phonograph Society. here's their website:

Thanks for the correction George. I was just using the "Links" section. It must be out of date also.

Thanks for all of your help, I did join the APS in November of last year however, I thought that by paying in November that I wouldn't need to pay again until next November, but I was asked to renew my subscription in January. Since I didn't have the funds, I couldn't renew. I also found the APS website tricky to use, as I couldn't look up specific magazine articles on certain machines, and instead I had to come here and try to search up what addition of the APS magazine that the article was in and then look up that edition of the magazine on the APS website.

Thanks for all of your help, I did join the APS in November of last year however, I thought that by paying in November that I wouldn't need to pay again until next November, but I was asked to renew my subscription in January. Since I didn't have the funds, I couldn't renew. If you joined in November, you should have either received all four 2024 issues or you were good for 2025. Those who join so late in the year are typically asked which way they want to go. If you joined in November and received nothing, please contact the APS through the "Contact Us" link on the website near the bottom of the Home Page.

I too have sometimes struggled with the search engine on the website. When looking for something that has appeared in the quarterly magazine, I prefer to use this topic index which can be found on the website:

Just go to the APS website ( https://www.antiquephono.org/#/ ), and click on MEMBER RESOURCES / LIBRARY CATALOG / INDEX (one of those 9 Clickable Boxes). This is a clickable link to download an Excel Sheet to search the Sherman / Paul APS Publication Topic Index. I use this not only to search for topics I remember being covered in the magazine, but also to stumble across topics that I forgot were there! With over 80 issues and hundreds of articles, it’s tough to remember everything that has been covered.

Best of all, members can just type in which particular magazine issue (for instance, June, 2013) they wish to see into the search bar, and Boom – the article you seek is right there.

My Apologies about my message from before, I misunderstood. Thanks so much for all of you understanding and support. I also want to thank you for your generosity and kindness regarding my 2024, and 2025 Membership. I love all things Phonograph, Thanks for including me.

Sincerely,
Garrett Jensen
