FOR SALE: Beautiful Comunbia Q w/ Original Horn - $500

Post by Aaron »

Offering today an absolutely beautiful Columbia Q. This Q comes from the estate of C. W. Bauman in upstate NY. Bauman owned an arcade and several phonographs over the years (visible in family photographs/paperwork).

I have done nothing to the machine since purchasing it. It runs very well, even with its old belt. It would certainly benefit from a little oil, a new belt, and a reproducer rebuild. Take a look at all the photos, its an excellent example! The nickel plating on the machine is in excellent condition. The original box for the reproducers is included, as well as the machines original horn. The horn has several dings and dents as shown in the photos, but otherwise the nickel plating on the horn is also in great shape. The original winding key is also present.

Lastly take notice of the stamped placed on the lid below the lift handle. I'm assuming it was placed there by the family in 1977 when the Centennial stamp was released. It can easily removed, but I'll leave that up to the new owner.

If you've been looking for a Columbia Q, this would be a wonderful score: estate found, all original machine with interesting ownership. Original horn, reproducer, reproducer box, winding key, stunning case, and an overall beautiful machine!

First one to reply "SOLD" here takes it. The machine can be delivered in person at the Wayne show April 26th / 27th, or I can ship it at cost.
