I was caller #2.
It almost feels like someone was trying to have a little fun with us, which is why I didn’t post it at the time

It's gone now. Either some lucky #$#@%^ grabbed it, or the "seller" did some Googling and found out he was about to give away $5,000.00.

The ad was 3 hours old when I enquired. The response was that someone was on their way to pick it up, and that they’d call me if they flaked. I went back to them saying thanks and asking for a little history of the machine, but that was the last I heard.

Well, hopefully it went to a good home and not to some bored housewife or househusband who will gut it, paint it teal, and use it for a liqueur cabinet.

While, for me, it would have been a "dream machine," realistically, even if I could have hired someone to pick it up, and lug it up four flights of steps, there's no way it would have fit through my front door--and even if it did, it would have eventually crashed through the aged thin floorboards of my apartment and landed on some very surprised, and probably flattened

...and it had an oil bath #52 motor. We all would have a better chance of getting hit by lightning than have an opportunity like that again.

And the rest......more like 8000 USD! There haven't been many for sale in the UK in recent years but less sprightly examples have sold for anything between £5,500 - £6,0000 in the past decade to 15 years.OrthoFan wrote: Wed Apr 30, 2025 10:15 am It's gone now. Interestingly, those that turn up for sale in Japan are still £10-12,000!

Peter, are you missing that 194? You aren't happy with the electric Diamond Disc that you made me send you in return for the key that you found after I bought the machine?
