Unworthy of such praise about my abilities... I only have a special inclination and curiosity and perseverance about trying to decipher things like this... especially if they're record related :)
In my case it only comes out because I've been confronted tho this Fraktur several other times, and as George says, it's relatively easy to get used to, once you've read it some times. But in this case it's very easy because they're simply very well known musical words and names. I only have the ability to detect and identify patterns at first sight, not the supposed vast culture you're attributing to this poor chap... :D :D

PS. Anyway, my old grandpa and elder uncles did know German very well, and I've seen things written by them in this Fraktur style when I was a youngster, and my father explained it to me and helped me understanding the trick... Besides that, I don't know German, but I have a natural inclination to understand and decipher things.
