Many may have seen this gramophone listed on eBay, but recent changes to eBays payment structure makes it a complicated affair selling things of such value on commission, so here is a Re-list of the gramophone, this time being sold direct.

This is an Expert All-Range, the largest of all the EMG or Expert gramophones, with a horn mouth diameter of 36”

This is one of 7 All Range gramophones known to exist, one of only 3 in the UK, and one of only two of those still in functional condition.

The Expert 4 Spring Soundbox is of the largest diameters the 4 spring dynamic soundboxes were offered in, though to be potentially offered only with the All range gramophones.
The soundbox was previously rebuilt by Ian Maxted, and some further tweaks done by me to cure some slight air leaks, it is sounding very good!

The Garrard 10A motor runs strongly, smoothly and quietly. This particular example is one of the absolute best of its kind.

Damage to the horn has been structurally restored recently by an expert who has the in-depth knowledge, the necessary skills and the sense of excellence needed to carry out this historically important work.

The gramophone is equipped with its original matching record cabinet pedestal stand, the original keys for both the gramophone and cabinet, it's original expert thorn needle sharpener, it's original 4 spring dynamic soundbox, also included is a sheet of provenance written by this gramophones highly regarded previous owner and a jar for thorn and fibre needles that this gramophone has retained most of it's life.

This gramophone is being sold from a very well respected collection purely because of a need to generate money. Otherwise it would not be on the market.

The gramophone is strictly collection only from North Shields in the north east of England, should you wish to book a courier (Hedleys Humpers is recommended and has previously handled many very rare and desirable EMG and Expert gramophones being shipped by myself and others, they take the responsibility of properly crating and packaging the item, and frequently deal with priceless antiquities), however note payment must be cleared before the courier arrives, I take no responsibility for the gramophone after it leaves my hands, and a bit of prior warning before collection will be necessary as the window needs to be removed in order to get the horn out.
