Unusual ARCO disc

Post by Zenger »

Greetings. I have only ever come across three American Record Company (ARCO) discs in the wild -- and since I only buy records I find in the wild, I only own three ARCOs. The first two were the standard 10.5-inch blue one-sided discs, but last weekend I came across a third in a batch of 78's, and while it's blue and one-sided, it's only 10 inches in diameter (or, really, just a hair less). Would this be a later product of theirs, a one-off, or what? Any and all information welcome. Thanks!

(Please note: In the first picture, the smaller one is in the middle; in the last, it's on top of the other two.)

I don’t know if it’s still up- but a copy of “The Laughing Song” by George W. Johnson is for sale on eBay currently. It’s also an ARCO. I believe these were mail order? But I might be incorrect.
