I saw this too. It actually appears to be well made, but not to my taste.

The seller says there are over 20 more where that horror came from. Can't wait to see them

Sadly, someone will foolishly spend their money buying it. Yes, it is a monstrosity.

Looks like it has some parts from a Columbia Viva-tonal machine. Soundbox and tonearm.
Something I would buy, but only if it was very cheap

It is an "Edison Standard" that appears to use punched paper strips.

That's a Sankyo 20-note music box. It uses the paper strips shown. I informed the seller exactly what is was quite some time ago, but all they were interested in was if I could tell them how to get it working. Obviously they know it's a scam, but are going to keep trying regardless.Curt A wrote: Fri May 23, 2025 4:25 pm This one makes it look nice: https://www.ebay.com/itm/197109032398?_ ... 5QX8HMC8GV

The same people who made those Super 8 cameras and projectors made music boxes huh?ChesterCheetah18 wrote: Sat May 24, 2025 5:46 pmThat's a Sankyo 20-note music box. It uses the paper strips shown. I'm not entirely sure, but I think they produced many different products. I think the music boxes were made from the '50s into the '70s.AmberolaAndy wrote: Sat May 24, 2025 7:28 pmThe same people who made those Super 8 cameras and projectors made music boxes huh?ChesterCheetah18 wrote: Sat May 24, 2025 5:46 pmThat's a Sankyo 20-note music box.
