I ran across this unusual floor model the other day and was curious about it and would like to learn more. The front of the case has a large harp design. It’s all complete but just needs some restoration. The company that did own this was owned and founded by Edward Ahmet. I will include photos and any information will be appreciated. Thanks! John

I don't remember off hand myself. It'ds in storage and I will find out. I just figured it being manufactured by "Amet", it should have more interest/vale than a lot of the other common machines. John

I see the cabinet measures 18" W X 22" D X 44" T (SEE -- https://www.invaluable.com/auction-lot/ ... a9d479683a ) so it's a relatively compact design. It looks like it will be very attractive once it's restored:

In addition to the stair-stepped horn, the side storage compartment for records (and placement of the lid-lock) is unusual:

It should be a fun restoration project.

Looks magnificent! And it has a revolver tonearm with which you can play hill and dale as well!

I had a few minutes to scour the web and spotted this ad:

So, from what I can tell, the "horn" is designed to function as a resonator, vibrating in sympathy with sound waves sent through the tone chamber. I was trying to find a patent for it, but so far, no luck.
