“On This Day in the History of Recorded Sound…”

June 26, 1906: Horace Sheble was granted U.S. Design Patent No.38,106 for “Horn for Talking Machines.” This was one of the earliest (and ultimately one of the most successful) patents for “flower horns” or “morning glory horns.”
