Making a Gramophone

Post by MisterGramophone »

Hello. How would I make my vision of a perfect machine? A coarse groove stylus with open horn and tabletop design that plays discs and has a flip-over reproducer allowing one to record music onto acetate blanks as well as play music recorded on vinyl 78s and shellac 78s. Why hasn’t any company tried this before? Is it because they are too busy with ‘profits’ and ‘economic viability’ even though things should be distributed based on need, want, and good will instead of for 62¢ of profit? Is the best way cannibalizing an old Columbia Climax? It is the worst case scenario, but we might have to do it.
If I were a troll, I would not post on the Talking Machine Forum; I would live under a bridge, post on Reddit, and eat goats for dinner!
