Interesting older pics of Edison's West Orange facility
A little quirky to navigate but I like the pictures of multiple uprights stacked against each other, crated radios etcetera. Reminds me a bit of home.

I don't know how I missed these at the Lyeberry of Congress site!
Go to http://www.loc.gov/pictures/item/NJ1222/ and find 93 of 'em - and you can download HUGE detailed copies.
(Funny seeing it called "in Essex"; I suppose that's the county. Amd why are NJ municipalities so itsy? Seems like you walk 1 mile in any direction & there's another place: Orange, South Orange, West Orange, East Orange! )

These are great. Remember me posting about going to the Edison National Historic Site in the 70's and finding it "the land that time forgot?" These pics remind of it , although it was a bit more " public friendly" than these pics show and of course we couldn't see the third floor. That pic of the room with the phonograph parts has a diamond disc recording lathe in the left foreground.
