Hello to all. My first post. I'm new to these Victrola wind up players, and will have many questions as I get into my newly acquired VV-XIV. I bought it from the granddaughter of the original purchaser. It's pretty nice, and from what I researched prior to purchase, it appears to have its born-with parts. For now, I'm looking for the correct lid/cabinet key(s). I don't know if the lid key is the same as the door key, but I imagine some here do. With all that said, I appreciate if anyone could help me locate a reliable source, or advise me on any details necessary for me to make an informed purchase. Many thanks, and I look forward learning some stuff here.
I posted a Pic of my new Victrola.
CHEERS!
Carl

This page is the standard resource for info on phonograph keys:

BTW, the board does have a good search system...

Thanks for the info. As for the forum's search, I did try, and came up empty handed. Perhaps I did something wrong, but I'll keep your suggestion in mind next time I ask for help.
Can't open that link, but I'll keep trying.

Your Victrola VV-XIV uses a standard nickel plated key like the one pictured, it fits both locks.
There are many on eBay every day.

If you do get a key, try to resist the temptation to leave it locked. If you lock it and misplace the key, it's next to impossible to get it open...

You have a very nice Victrola with a fumed oak finish. Many people think that the finish is either damaged or dirty and often refinish these examples. Yours, however, appears to be in beautiful condition. A nice find!

I appreciate that. Very nice of you to say. I got it from the granddaughter of the original purchaser. It also came with a set of 4 small and 4 large Victrola binders, each filled with records. I like it a lot. Thank you.JerryVan wrote: Sun Jul 13, 2025 6:57 pm You have a very nice Victrola with a fumed oak finish.
