New Home for a VV-X

Post by Phono-Phan »

I recently bought this nice little VV-X. It had broken springs and missing the crank. I had a crank for it and replaced the springs. I talked with the manager and the activities co-coordinator at the place where my 88 year old Mother is at. I offered it to them to use for the residents. They were extremely happy to get it. They plan on having "Music" time with it every week or more. I will be rotating records for it when needed and supply the needles. If you have an old phonograph available, you might consider the same idea. The residents will really enjoy it.

Ken

That's fantastic. I'm so glad the residents will get to enjoy the Victrola. Your generous contributions are making inroads and will make lifetime memories for those people's lives you enriched.

Very pleasant and thoughtful of you to bring music to the seniors. I feel that the way our society treats the greatest generation of our times is a travesty. They deserve so much.
My car club does a little something for the seniors in our area. We have a car show at their facility, and during the show, we offer rides in our cars to the residents. Boy, the stories we hear during those rides.

I belong to a Model A Ford club and we visit and give rides to nursing home and assisted living residents. They really enjoy when we visit and we do also.
