What Size Springs for Edison Gem Model B Winding Crank?
I have an Edison Gem Model B with a 5/16th diameter crank shaft for winding the motor. It is missing the both the conical compression spring on one end and the regular cylindrical compression spring on the other. Does any one know where they can be purchased? I suspect McMaster-Carr has them as they offer a very wide variety of such springs though the question becomes which ones. Does anyone know the appropriate lengths, and inner and out diameters that would be appropriate for use in a Gem? Or even by chance a McMaster-Carr or similar supplier part number?
